Celebrating St. Patricks Day in the UK

It was by accident that we discovered this beautiful little lane in the heart of the west end. A popular place for students and young people to come have a drink, have a bite to eat, or watch a movie. From the main road this looks like an an alley way so we had never gone down it. Kept noticing that lots of people kept turning down the alley so we decided to follow and see where they were all going. We were very pleasantly surprised!

I have never been to a bar more packed than the first one we tried to go to last night for St. Patty's day! I don't know why they were still letting people in actually, cause there was literally no room for anyone. Picture standing on a crowded bus heading to UBC, now picture it with 3-4 times the amount of people on it. It was like they were playing the game "how many drunks can we fit into one bar!" There was no where for you to move. Once you got into it (the only reason we tried is we were meeting up with friends who said they were in there...didn't get their text in time saying they had gone to the one across the street instead as it was a bit roomier) you were stuck. It was like a giant group hug you couldn't get out of! So many bodies pressed up against one another, but all happy and drinking hehe I still am amazed I didn't get any beer spilt on me! Definately an experience! I found it amusing :P  Probably took us a good 20-30minutes to navigate across the bar which was probably only like 5-7meters in length. hahaha
